“Pass Mobilité”, a multimodal mobility pass, is launched in Strasbourg

CTS (Compagnie des Transports Strasbourgeois), Vélhop and Citiz have partenered to bring the “Pass Mobilité” to the Strasbourg citizens in order to address their whole needs in urban mobility. Besides the CTS’ transport public offer, the “Pass Mobilité” includes a subscription to Vélhop’s bike-sharing and Citiz’ car-sharing services, as well as the access to bicycle parkings (véloparcs) and to the CTS’ car parks (Park & Ride).

Nextendis attended to the Mobility 2.0 day : a strategy for intelligent transports, organized by the French Ministry of Transports.

 The French Ministry of Transports organized the Mobility 2.0 day at Versailles Satory on February the 11th. Frédéric Cuvillier, the French Minister of transports as well as the main actors of intelligent mobility were present. That day has been the opportunity to announce several projects:

Vodafone releases its NFC wallet platform in Europe

Since its creation, Nextendis has been supporting Vodafone NFC projects. We have especially actively contributed to the NFC GU-SIM design, setting up the SP Onboarding processes, to the Vodafone representation at the GSMA standardization working groups as well as defining and deploying the NFC Wallet platform.

The Vodafone wallet has been designed in order to allow service providers (banks, retailers, transport operators) to easily integrate it. This has been achieved by being the first in Europe implementing the GP Messaging standard.

Caen rolls out its ticketing service on NFC phones

On June 17, in the presence of local authorities, "Caen la mer" opened its transport ticketing service on mobile phone.

The Twisto mobile application will now allow unfrequent travelers or subscribers, with an NFC phone:

- to purchase a fare product 24h/24, 7/7, directly from their mobile

- to validate in the buses and trams equipped with compatible NFC validators

- to check their balance of tickets or to follow their season ticket usage.

Implementation specifications on contactless communication for public transport have been published

AFIMB (French agency for multimodal information and fare management system services), an agency within the Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Transport, has just published on its website the version 1.0 of the implementation specifications that set out the requirements related to the use of contactless communication protocol ISO/IEC 14443 to ensure interoperability between fare management system hardware and the multiple-form-factor contactless fare media (smartcards, e-tickets, mobile phones, USB keys, tablets, etc.).

GSMA and the International Association of Public Transport (UITP) release White Paper on Mobile NFC in the Transport industry

The paper aims at helping mobile operators and transport operators to deploy mobile NFC based solutions to improve the travel experience of customers across Europe. 17 projects have been shortlisted for the French national call for project “deployment of NFC mobile contactless services”

Amongst the 29 answers, 17 projects have been shortlisted to share the 20 M€ funding of the national call for projects “deployment of NFC mobile contactless services”.

Nextendis is pleased to have contributed to the elaboration of the public transportation part of some of the 17 shortlisted answers and is already working on supporting operationally the NFC ticketing projects of shortlisted territories.
