Montenegro Railways unveils its plan for a new mobile ticketing system

ZPCG

During the Transport Ticketing CEE event in Warsaw, ŽPCG (Željeznički prevoz Crne Gore), the Montenegro Railways company, has unveiled its plan for renewing its current ticketing system during a joint presentation done by Mr. Vojislav Andrijasevic, Assistant General Manager of ŽPCG and Jean-Philippe Amiel, Director of Nextendis.

This investment in a new ticketing system comes as a natural follow-up to the investments made in Montenegrin railway infrastructure and rolling stock in the last years. The new ticketing system will aim at providing more user convenience while favouring cost effective distribution channels by introducing online ticket purchase from smartphone and internet. The new system intends to comply with UIC requirements and to be connected to EPA railways partners enabling sales of Montenegro tickets by other Railways Undertakings.

Since March 2014, Nextendis teamed with regional experts to support ŽPCG in developing the business case, scoping and procuring the new ticketing systems to suit ŽPCG long term needs.
