GlobalPlatform and ISO TC204 Collaborate for Multi-Application NFC and Contactless Media

GlobalPlatform and ISO TC 204 WG8 (Intelligent Transport Systems - Public Transport and Emergency Services) will work together in order to facilitate the technical definition of standards aiming at allowing the deployment of ticketing applications on multi-applicative media (such has mobile NFC phones for example). These standardization bodies were already involved on these topics: GlobalPlatform from a technical point of view and ISO TC 204 for the transportation industry specific aspects. The synchronization of works between the two committees will allow better standards coherence towards the transport market and the industry.

Nextendis’ director Jean Philippe Amiel, as a French ticketing expert involved in WG8 activities, will be the liaison officer from the ISO TC 204 WG8 towards GlobalPlatform.
