Smart Ticketing Alliance updates its certification process for contactless ticketing smart cards

Smart Ticketing, Alliance, an alliance of the transport ticketing schemes in Europe, just published its new certification process for Public Transport (PT) objects according to CEN/TS 16794:2017 standard (Public transport - Communication between contactless readers and fare media - Part 1: Implementation requirements for ISO/IEC 14443).

It is now possible to request a STA certification for PT objects (PICCs) according to CEN/TS 16794:2017. This 2nd edition of the STA certification program supersedes the STA certification program 1.0 for PICCs available from July 2017.

GSMA releases TS.26 V10.0 NFC HANDSET REQUIREMENTS

GSMA Terminal Steering Group recently published the v10 of the GSMA TSG TS.26 NFC Handset Requirements.

This GSMA document lists requirements for devices to support NFC services (primarily focused on UICC) and references relevant standards. Test cases that allow testing the conformance to these requirements are gathered in GSMA TSG TS.27 NFC Testbook, and mobile device certification against TS.26 and TS.27 is provided by GCF (Global Certification Forum).

Smart Ticketing Alliance launches a European certification process for contactless ticketing equipment and media

Smart Ticketing, Alliance, an alliance of the main actors in transport ticketing in Europe, just published a certification process for the contactless interface of ticketing equipment and media.
